A new primary school for Little Stanion
Northamptonshire County Council will be establishing a new community primary school for the Little Stanion development. As a one form of entry school (30 children per year group), it will cater for 210 pupils for the primary age-range from 4 - 11, with a 26 place nursery unit.

Northamptonshire County Council is the admissions authority and applications for a school place will be dealt with in autumn 2008 and spring 2009.
It is planned to open the school with a reception class of 30 pupils and 15 pupils in both Year 1 (aged 5+) and Year 2 (aged 6+).

The architects are GHM Rock Townsend, who have designed a modern educational facility to the specification set by the County Council. The building is designed to achieve a rating of 'very good' in terms of sustainability targets. Facilities include:
- An integrated Foundation stage for the Nursery and Reception classes, including outdoor covered play
- Six classrooms with good natural daylight and ventilation
- A parents / community room
- Hall and adjoining studio
- Library and ICT provision
- Cook-on site kitchen for the provision of hot school meals
- Playgrounds and playing field
- Provision for special needs and fully DDA compliant
- Staff accommodation and parking
- Drop-off zone and public car-parking outside the school site
